Graphology is the art of assessing personality from handwriting.
Everything we do gives some indication of our personalities: the way we walk and talk, laugh and cry - even the way we drive! Handwriting is a very personal record of who we are at the time of writing. The pen moves across the paper in response to muscles in the hand. These are guided by the brain.
Some graphologists have coined the term brainwriting.
As we write we are transmitting our thoughts and our feelings to the paper. By studying the directions, shapes and sizes of the patterns recorded on the paper, a graphologist can ascertain what was going on in the personality of the writer at the time.
Measurements are taken to check the movement of the writing, the form which the writer chooses to apply and how the writing is arranged on the sheet of paper.
The whole of the writing is looked at in relation to all its parts.
After scrupulous examination an evaluation is made before a comprehensive report is written and presented to the writer.
